I snapped these shots today, the fourth of March. It's been weeks since my last outfit post, mostly because of too much work and too much rain. Today is the first day I've felt like it's almost springtime. Usually by now in winter (about 4 p.m.) I'd be writing this post in darkness. But right now I am looking out my window and the sun is still shining though, creating shadows of my houseplants onto the walls. My cats are basking in the golden patches of sunlight on the carpet. I wish I could go and do the same.
I just recently got this vintage necklace, this is my first time wearing it! It's from the 70's and says "RUTH". I've always loved the name Ruth. I remember reading a storybook when I was a child that had a character named Ruth and ever since the name stuck with me. I love the idea of wearing a piece of vintage jewelry, but this one seems so much more personal. I imagine a girl in my head and I imagine her wearing this necklace years ago. Now it hangs around my neck and when it doesn't it waits in my jewelry box. Today I am wearing it with my current uniform: a turtleneck sweater and a jumper. As much as I love this outfit though, there is nothing more I am looking forward to than being able to go outside bearing my arms, free of sleeves!
Farewell for now my friends!
xo, Tori
