Goodness gracious is it really March already? I can hardly believe I just tagged this post "Spring"! I saw this dress on OASAP last month and literally squeeled. It reminded me of this gorgeous insect printed dress I fell in love with many moons ago from the same shop (here it is being worn by the lovely Amy) but never got the pleasure to own. I've said it beforebut there is something about these types of prints that I can hardly get enough of. Also it made me think of this childen's poem by Issac Wattsthat ended up being parodied in Lewis Carrols' "Alice in Wonderland", which is where I think I derived most of the inspiration for this little storybook-like ensemble.
Last month, the ever so talented Hana Haley and I ventured east of Portland down the Columbia River to shoot a story of a runaway. The locations we shot at were some of the most beautiful I have ever seen- I had no idea such a beautiful place existed so close to home! Though, you may have noticed by my hair (and my pink puffy face in the photo above!) that it was also one of, if not the windiest day I have ever endured. (A drastic difference from the first photoshoot I had with her!) My car door almost got blown off and my skin was chapped for the entire week following but the results are simply beautiful and I adore how the story gets pieced together so perfectly. I'm forever thankful for souls like Hana who let me be a runaway even for just a day.
You can see the rest of the story coming soon to Hana's website at hanahaley.com
