where the wildflowers grow

black floral dress / white tights ... OASAP*

basket purse ... Lipped Love

April can be so cruel. Yesterday was a sunny 70+ degrees and I'm thinking it's already time to pull my summer dresses out from the depths of my closet and cover my shoulders with sunscreen... and today is a brisk 50 degree day with a thick layer of clouds hovering above my city. I suppose my tan and sleeveless dresses will have to wait, but at least I get to wear this pretty little breezy floral number from Oasap! It's quite fitting for these weather mood-swings we've been experiencing over here. Though all of this on and off rain and sun is working wonders for the scenery. There is almost nowhere wildflowers aren't growing, and I love it.

Long Lost

I finally got around to organizing all my photos into folders last week and I came across these ones buried deep under all my piles of prints. I took these about four years ago I think, when I was 16. I believe it was one of my very first experiences shooting with film- in fact, I didn't even own a camera at this point and borrowed my art teachers' Pentax. They are rather simple photos, but there's something about them that I find intriguing. It's sort of funny how years later, you can find something special in something you once found average or ordinary.

dust covered dolls

ivory chiffon dress ... OASAP*
rust beekeeper hat / ruffle socks ... Topshop
black Mary Jane's ... Secretlake

Hello, friends! I feel this outfit is a bit Nancy Drew and a bit the dolls I used to have as a child that now sit under a layer of dust on the top shelf of my closet. Sometimes I feel silly for tapping into my childhood so much for inspiration but not today. This outfit is one of my very favorites. I'd been wanting this hat for months and just got it in the knick of time- it went out of stock less than a week later! I must say it is my new favorite and worth every penny.
